Colloids are mucous wastes arising mainly from excess carbohydrates and lipids. They clog respiratory, ENT and cutaneous pathways, manifesting through mucosities, discharges and non-inflammatory eruptions.

Reduce refined starches

Greatly diminish white pasta, white bread, couscous, cakes and pastries which are the main sources of colloidal wastes. Replace them with semi-whole grain cereals (semi-whole rice, buckwheat, quinoa) in moderate quantities. Eliminate refined sugars and pasteurized dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese) that generate excess mucus.

Hepatobiliary drainage

Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is the reference cholagogue: it stimulates the production and excretion of bile, the main vehicle for eliminating colloids. Black radish (Raphanus niger) is a powerful choleretic that fluidifies thickened bile. Take in alternation: artichoke in capsules or fresh juice (1 ampule/day) for 3 weeks, then black radish for 3 weeks.

Reduce dairy products

Pasteurized dairy products (cow's milk, industrial yogurt, soft cheese) are considered by naturopathy as powerful generators of colloidal mucus. Drastically reduce them for 1 month and observe the effect on your ENT symptoms (colds, sinusitis, cough). Replace with plant-based milks (almond, oat) and raw milk sheep or goat cheese, better tolerated.

Probiotics and intestinal fiber

Restore your intestinal transit with soluble fiber (blonde psyllium 1 tablespoon/day, ground flax seeds) and quality probiotics (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum, minimum 10 billion CFU/day). Daily bowel movements are essential to evacuate colloids excreted by bile. Lacto-fermented foods (raw sauerkraut, kefir, miso) naturally support the microbiota.

Physical exercise and dry brushing

Daily physical exercise (30 min brisk walking, cycling) stimulates hepatic portal circulation, promotes intestinal peristalsis and activates cutaneous elimination through perspiration. Dry brushing of the skin in the morning (circular movements toward the heart with a natural fiber brush) activates lymphatic circulation and helps the skin eliminate colloidal overloads.

Rosemary hepatoprotective

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a powerful hepatoprotective and choleretic that supports both phases of hepatic detoxification. In herbal tea (2 cups/day after meals) or in gemmotherapy (macerate of young shoots, 15 drops/day), it decongests the liver and fluidifies bile. Combine it with desmodium (Desmodium adscendens) if the liver is very congested (very coated tongue, nausea).

Intensive hepatobiliary cure

Your liver is the absolute priority. Undertake a 6-week hepatobiliary cure: artichoke (cholagogue) in the morning, black radish (choleretic) at noon, rosemary (hepatoprotective) in the evening, in herbal teas or capsules. Desmodium (Desmodium adscendens) in ampules protects and regenerates hepatic cells. If the overload is longstanding, gradual drainage over 3 months is preferable to avoid too intense a healing crisis.

Strict anti-colloidal dietary reform

Eliminate for at least 2 months: all pasteurized cow dairy products, refined starches (white bread, pasta, couscous, cakes), added sugars, fried foods and saturated fats. Replace with varied vegetables at each meal (50% of the plate), gluten-free cereals (semi-whole rice, buckwheat, quinoa), lean proteins and good fats (olive oil, canola oil, avocado).

Intestinal drainage and probiotics

Restore daily transit with blonde psyllium (2 tablespoons/day in a large glass of water), ground flax seeds and fiber-rich vegetables. Take a high-dose probiotic cure (20 billion CFU/day, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains) for 2 months. Colon hydrotherapy (1 to 2 sessions supervised by a professional) can accelerate intestinal cleansing at the start of the cure.

Weekly monodiet

Practice a one-day weekly monodiet (applesauce, semi-whole rice, or fresh vegetable juice depending on the season) to rest the digestive system and allow the liver to catch up with its detoxification work. This ancestral naturopathic practice significantly accelerates colloidal elimination by temporarily reducing new waste production.

Naturopathic consultation recommended

Such a high score requires professional support. A naturopath will assess your vital force before prescribing drainage, as detoxification too intense on a weakened body can trigger a healing crisis (temporary symptom aggravation). They will adapt the protocol to your constitution and monitor elimination signs to adjust the drainage pace.

Physical activity and deep breathing

Daily physical exercise (40 min minimum) is essential to stimulate hepatic portal circulation, activate intestinal peristalsis and promote bronchial expectoration. Deep abdominal breathing (10 min morning and evening) mobilizes the diaphragm which massages the liver and intestines, facilitating biliary excretion. Yoga, qi gong and brisk walking in nature are particularly suitable.
