This is THE basic juice of the naturopath for correcting tissue acidosis. Celery provides organic sodium as an alkaline buffer, spinach supplies magnesium and chlorophyll, cucumber hydrates at 96%¹. Lemon is acidic in the mouth but alkalinizing once metabolized, it’s the best documented paradox in nutritional biochemistry². Together they create an ultra-alkalinizing cocktail that corrects acidic urinary pH in just a few weeks of daily treatment³.

Preparation with an Extractor

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 green apple

Roll the spinach into a ball between two pieces of cucumber to maximize extraction. The watery cucumber helps rinse the screw.

For this recipe, I use the Hurom H400. Cold pressing preserves all the enzymes, vitamins and phytonutrients that the heat from a centrifuge would destroy.
