Degree of vitality and toxemia
Assess your level of vitality and overall toxemia with this comprehensive 37-question questionnaire. Toxemia represents the accumulation of waste in the body, the main obstacle to vitality according to naturopathy.
This comprehensive questionnaire evaluates your level of vitality in relation to your body's toxic load. In orthodox naturopathy (Marchesseau, Kousmine, Salmanoff), vitality represents the body's self-healing capacity. The higher the toxemia and the lower the vitality, the more favorable the terrain is for chronic diseases. This test combines signs of overload and energy deficit.
Points forts
- +Global vision of vitality and toxemia
- +Synthetic approach to naturopathic terrain
- +Allows prioritization: detoxification or revitalization

Maintenir votre équilibre
Preserve restorative sleep
Sleep is the first pillar of vitality according to all naturopathic schools. Maintain a regular rhythm by going to bed before 11 PM to benefit from deep sleep phases (cellular regeneration, hepatic detoxification, growth hormone secretion). Limit screens 1 hour before bedtime and sleep in a dark, cool, and quiet room.
Living and varied nutrition
Continue to favor nutrition rich in living foods (raw fruits and vegetables, sprouted seeds, fresh juices) that provide enzymes, vitamins, and bioavailable minerals. Marchesseau emphasizes the notion of biogenic food (which gives life) as opposed to biocidic food (which destroys life). Fresh, seasonal, organic, and minimally processed foods directly nourish your vital force.
Daily contact with nature
Nature is a major source of revitalization in naturopathy. Walk at least 30 minutes per day outdoors, ideally in a forest or by water. Natural light regulates your circadian rhythm and melatonin production. Barefoot contact with the earth (grounding) and breathing negatively ionized pure air recharge your vital reserves according to naturopathic tradition.

Progressive dietary reform
Begin by eliminating the main toxemia producers: refined sugars, ultra-processed foods, excess red meat and cured meats, pasteurized dairy products, alcohol and excessive coffee. Progressively replace with vegetables at each meal (50% of your plate), semi-complete grains, quality proteins (fish, organic eggs, legumes), and good fats (olive, rapeseed, nuts). The transition must be gradual to avoid an overly harsh elimination crisis.
Gentle hepatic and intestinal drainage
Support your main emunctories with gentle drainage plants: artichoke or black radish for the liver (1 ampoule/day before evening meal), rosemary tea after meals, blonde psyllium for intestinal transit (1 tablespoon in a large glass of water in the morning). Desmodium protects liver cells during drainage. 3-week course, 1-week break, then resume.
Restore deep sleep
Sleep is the first priority to relaunch vitality. Go to bed before 11 PM, eliminate screens 1 hour before bedtime, and create a relaxation ritual (linden-passionflower tea, reading, deep breathing). Magnesium bisglycinate (300 mg at dinner) promotes sleep onset and deep sleep quality. Awakenings between 1 AM and 3 AM often signal hepatic congestion.
Moderate daily physical exercise
Physical exercise relaunches blood and lymphatic circulation, stimulates all emunctories, and produces endorphins that fight fatigue and pessimism. Start with 20-30 minutes of brisk daily walking, then increase gradually. Yoga, qi gong, and swimming are particularly suitable as they combine movement, breathing, and relaxation without exhausting vital force.
Hydration and water drainage
Water is the main vehicle for waste elimination by the kidneys. Drink at least 1.5 liters of lightly mineralized water per day, outside of meals. Add 2 cups of draining herbal tea per day (birch for kidneys, artichoke for liver, fennel for bloating). Lemon juice in warm water in the morning relaunches hepatic functions and alkalizes the terrain.
Stress management and nervous recovery
Chronic stress consumes considerable vital energy and produces acidic waste (cortisol, adrenaline, lactic acid). Cardiac coherence (3 times 5 minutes/day) is the quickest way to rebalance the autonomic nervous system. Spend time in nature daily, even 15 minutes in a park. Contact with trees, pure air, and natural light are powerful revitalizers recognized by all naturopathic traditions.

Revitalize BEFORE draining
Golden rule of naturopathy: never drain an exhausted body. During the first 3 to 4 weeks, focus solely on revitalization: sleep (8 hours minimum, bedtime before 10:30 PM), soft and digestible nutrition (cooked vegetables, soups, compotes, rice), magnesium bisglycinate (400 mg/day), natural vitamin C (acerola 500 mg/day), B vitamin complex. Drainage will come later, once vitality has improved.
Gentle and progressive dietary reform
Do not drastically change your diet. Begin by eliminating the worst aggressors: refined sugars, sodas, alcohol, excessive coffee, ultra-processed foods. Progressively introduce steamed cooked vegetables at each meal, stewed fruits in compote (more digestible than raw when vitality is low), semi-complete grains, and light proteins (white fish, eggs, red lentils). Fresh vegetable juices (cold-pressed extractor) are an excellent way to provide vitamins and minerals without digestive effort.
Adaptogenic plants for vitality
Adaptogenic plants raise vital force without artificial stimulation like coffee. Ginseng (Panax ginseng, 200 mg standardized extract/day), eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus, general tonic), and rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea, anti-fatigue and anti-stress) support adrenals and restore deep energy. Begin with a single plant for 1 month, in the morning on an empty stomach.
Urgent naturopathic consultation
A score at this level absolutely requires professional support. A naturopath will evaluate your constitution, temperament, and especially your residual vital force to determine if you can tolerate drainage or must first revitalize. They will establish a progressive program in several phases (revitalization, then gentle drainage, then deep drainage) adapted to your recovery pace.
Micronutrition support
Your body likely lacks essential cofactors exhausted by toxic overload. Take daily: magnesium bisglycinate (400 mg), zinc bisglycinate (15 mg), vitamin D3 (2000 IU), B vitamin complex (B1, B6, B9, B12), omega-3 EPA/DHA (1 g). These micronutrients support mitochondrial energy production, nervous function, and hepatic detoxification capacities.
Active rest and nature contact
Grant yourself moments of active rest daily: slow walking in nature (20-30 min), deep abdominal breathing, gentle stretching. Nature is the most powerful revitalizer according to Marchesseau, Kneipp, and all naturopathy pioneers. Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), barefoot earth contact, and morning light exposure (15 min without sunglasses) progressively restore depleted vital energy.
