I remember a patient who came to see me for chronic joint pain. She had tried everything: anti-inflammatories, supplements, physiotherapy. Apigenin binds to GABA receptors in the brain and calms you as effectively as an anxiolytic, without the side effects². Luteolin blocks pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNF-alpha, which is why joint pain decreases in 3 weeks of treatment³.

Celery stalk is one of the vegetables richest in organic sodium (80 mg/100g), the living sodium that Walker radically distinguished from table sodium chloride. The organic sodium in celery is an alkaline buffer that the body uses to neutralize acids in the internal environment, particularly at the joint level. Preparation with a cold press juicer

Ingredients:

  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 organic green apples
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (2 cm)

Use the whole celery stalk, stems AND leaves. The leaves concentrate more apigenin and luteolin than the stems. Granny Smith apple is ideal because it is tart and not very sweet. Avoid red apples like Gala or Fuji, too sweet for a green juice.

For this recipe, I use the Hurom H320N. Cold pressing preserves all the enzymes, vitamins, and phytonutrients that the heat from a centrifuge would destroy.
